Heads Up: The Canva Button for Creating Custom Thumbnails Is Going Away Soon!

A few years ago, we introduced the ability to create custom thumbnails for your videos using Canva, an online design platform, with just the click of a button. Recently, Canva has notified us that they will discontinue support for this integration method as of December 30, 2025. They have mentioned an alternative integration route that we are currently exploring, but haven't yet reached a final decision.

This change does not affect the existing option to upload a custom thumbnail for your videos. If you found the Canva button useful, you may still directly design your custom thumbnails in Canva and then upload them. For the best look, we recommend that your custom thumbnail design be at least 1280x720 (pixels) and in PNG file format.

As always, if you have any questions or feedback, please leave a comment below or contact us using our Support/Feedback form.

TinglyTube: Notice of Planned Downtime 😴

Hey there!

Jacob (aka JJ15 ASMR) from TinglyTube here! 🌙

I wanted to give everyone an early heads-up that TinglyTube will undergo a temporary downtime on March 29, 2024, starting at 9:00 PM UTC.

The reason for this temporary downtime is that CentOS 7, a distribution of Linux, that our server currently runs, will reach its EOL (End-of-life) on June 30, 2024. After this date, it will no longer receive security updates, patches, or new features. To ensure the continued stability and security of TinglyTube, we must transition to a new operating system.

We don't have an exact timeframe for when we'll be back online as there is some manual action needed on the part of our server provider to fully complete the migration, however, we're hopeful that this process shouldn't take longer than 24 hours but do ask that you remain patient.

If you'd like to be notified before the migration starts and once it's complete, you can check out, and optionally, subscribe to our Statuspage for updates.

Lastly, please feel free to contact us via our Support/Feedback form if you have any questions or concerns.

A look back at 2022 on TinglyTube 🌙

We hope you're having a great New Year's Eve and are excited about what 2023 will bring for all of us. 🥳

2022 was another incredible year for us that went by as we saw wonderful people just like you come from around the world to share their love for ASMR while we worked tirelessly to continually improve TinglyTube.

Some of the bigger improvements we made this year were...

TinglyTube is of course a very small community, so to both first-time and long-time users, thank you for spending some of your time with us in 2022! (Even if you were asleep for some of it... 😴)

Now time for the most exciting part of this notice... our Year in Review for 2022, which is a collection of various platform statistics from this year that we think you'll find as interesting as we do. 🤓

You Can Now Edit your Comments! 💬✏️

We all make mistakes, one of the most annoying being typos — which can be especially prevalent if you’re sleepy and tingling out to one of the many great videos on TinglyTube 😏 and to make things worse, previously you could only fix a typo by deleting and reposting your comment. What a sad world it was...

But now it's all sunshine and tingles again as we’ve introduced the ability to edit your comments (and replies!) at any time after posting, just press the three dots next to your comment (on PC you’ll need to hover over your comment before they'll show), select “Edit Comment”, and you’ll then be able to edit your comment and save it!

A few extra things to note about comment editing:

  • If your comment is hearted by the creator of the commented content, and you edit it, it'll be unhearted automatically (You will be made aware of this with an alert shown and a confirmation box you must check). While this might not make much sense at first, it is to prevent someone from posting a generally innocuous comment and then changing it to something malicious after it's been hearted.
  • While the text of your comment is changed after editing, any comment or reply bell notifications sent to other users will still show your original comment.
  • Edited comments will have an (edited) label displayed next to their time of posting.
We hope that this improvement enhances the social experience of TinglyTube for you, and if you have any questions or feedback for us on how we can make it even better, then please let us know via our Support/Feedback form.
